Ignition Power Stage: Description and Operation
Ignition Power Stage:
PURPOSE The power output stage is an electronic switch that controls the
ignition coil's discharge.
OPERATION The
Engine Control Module, based on inputs from the
Camshaft Position Sensor and the
crankshaft position sensor, will supply a ground for the primary side of the coil via the power output stage.
