Condition

All Airbag III Control Modules, must be coded whenever replacement is required.

Note:
Failure to code Airbag III Control Modules after replacement will cause the airbag warning light to come on with no DTCs stored.


Service

- With the 1551 Diagnostic Scan Tool (ST) connected, enter channel 15, function 07 (Code Control Module).

- Enter code number 00127 (USA and Canada). Press the Q button to confirm the code entry.

- Clear any stored DTC's.

- Press the -> button, then enter 06 to end output.

- Road test vehicle and recheck system to assure warning light does not come on and that no DTC's are stored.
