Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

After repeated removal of sensor, replace PVC cap, to ensure proper air gap.
1. Turn ignition switch to the Off position.
2. Remove mounting bolts for sensors, then the sensors.
3. Replace O-ring seals on sensors.
4. Lubricate O-ring seals and sensors with brake assembly lubricant.
5. Install sensors in housings, until PVC tips touch rotor on CV joints.
6. Install new retaining bolts, then torque to 7 ft. lbs., while holding sensors against wheel bearing housings.
7. Install wiring grommet into bracket on wheel bearing/strut housing.
