Fresh Air/Recirculation Flap

- Remove right-side plenum tray and intake air grill.
- Start engine and let idle.
- Switch A/C on (A/C on indicator lamp comes on).
- Push recirculating button (recirculation indicator lamp comes on).
- Fresh air/recirculating flap must close to outside air
If fresh air/recirculating flap does not close:
- Check voltage supply to fresh air/recirculating flap two-way valve -N63- according to wiring diagrams and repair as necessary.
- Check vacuum system. Testing and Inspection
- Check fresh air/recirculating flap vacuum motor.

NOTE:
- If the vacuum supply system leaks, or if the vacuum supply is insufficient to move the vacuum motor, the fresh air/recirculating flap will remain in fresh air mode.
- To replace fresh air/recirculating flap, remove heater box and evaporator housing.
