Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair

Evaporator Refrigerant Line:





Removal:
- Discharge A/C refrigerant system.
- Remove bolt -A-.
- Loosen refrigerant line clamp and remove lines from evaporator.
- Plug all open connections to prevent moisture and dirt contamination.

Installation:
- Install in reverse order of removal noting the following:
- Replace O-rings -B- and -C-.
- O-ring seal -B- (outlet): 17.2 mm inside diameter, 1.8 mm thickness
- O-ring seal -C- (inlet): 10.8 mm inside diameter, 1.8 mm thickness
- Make sure lines fit into evaporator smoothly without binding.
- Install bolt -A-.
- Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ft lb)
