Connector Terminals, Repairing

Damaged or loose harness connector terminals can be repaired without replacing the entire wiring harness. Use the VAS1978 wiring harness repair kit.

- Pull open connector lock by hand in direction shown (arrow).





CAUTION!
DO NOT use any type of tool other than those recommended for removing terminals from connector housing or damage may result.


- Remove damaged terminal from connector housing.





- Repair according to instructions in VAS1978 repair kit.
- Insert terminal into connector housing.
- Push down connector lock until locked.


NOTE: This procedure applies to both 6-pin and 13-pin connectors.
