NOTES:
- Use a digital multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent), the VAG 1594 connector test kit and the VAG 1598 test box with VAG 1598/11 adapter harness when checking wiring.
- The wire connection from the white DLC (terminal 2) is routed via the K wire distributor to control module -J256-. All other vehicle systems having "Rapid data transfer" OBD are also connected via wiring distributor K See appropriate wiring diagram for specific wiring information.


- Switch ignition off.
- Remove convertible top control module -J256-.
- Connect VAG1598/11 adapter harness between control module -J256- and wiring harness.
- Connect VAG1598 test box to VAG1598/11 adapter harness.





- Set digital multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent) to resistance range and connect between socket 37 of VAG1598 test box and white DLC, terminal 2.

Specification: 0 Ohm (continuity)

If specification is not met:
- Check wiring for open circuit per wiring diagram and repair as necessary.
