- After performing repairs, always check and erase DTC memory, perform basic setting and also check coding of A/C control head -E87-.
- Checking cooling efficiency.

- All components identified with an asterisk (*) are activated during the output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM).
- Note different codings for A/C control head -E87-.
- An electrical test can be performed on all components identified with a double asterisk (**).

1 - Actuator for temperature flap left -V158- *
- With potentiometer -G220-
- Removing and installing Service and Repair
2 - Sender for outlet temperature, floor outlet -G192- **

4 - Heater core

5 - Kickdown switch
- Engine Control Module (ECM) can deactivate A/C clutch depending on current vehicle speed and required degree of acceleration Via Read Measuring Value Block.
6 - Data Link Connector (DLC) for VAG1551 Scan Tool (ST)
- Connecting VAG1551 and testing electrical/electronic components of air conditioning system.
7 - Left vent temperature sensor -G150- **

- The ambient temperature can be displayed in °C or in °F depending on setting of -E87-.
