System Specifications

Cylinder head
^ Replace cylinder head bolts.

Insert cylinder head bolts and tighten by hand.





Tighten cylinder head in sequence indicated, in two stages as follows:
Tighten with torque wrench:

1. Step 40 Nm
Tighten using a solid wrench:

2. Step 180° (1/2 turn) further (2 x 90° further is permissible)


Camshaft Bearing





Then tighten bolts in shown sequence 8 Nm.


Main Bearing Cap





1. 65 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90°)

2. Bearing cap
^ Bearing cap 1: Belt pulley side
^ Bearing cap 3: With notches for thrust washers
^ Retaining tabs of bearing shells and cylinder block/bearing caps must lie above one another


Crankshaft Pulley






Connecting rod bearing





Connecting rod bolt 30 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90°)


Flywheel






Drive Plate






Oil Pump





Install balance shaft housing with oil pump and intermediate plate. Fasten bolts - arrows - from inside to outside 15 Nm plus an additional 90° 1/4 turn.
