Body Control Module: Service and Repair






Comfort System Central Control Module

Removing

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Functions" routine Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.

- Remove the lower A-pillar trim.

- Remove driver's seat..

• Seat belt on seat frame must not be loosened.

- Fold back floor carpet.





- Release the driver side electronics box cover - arrows - and fold cover to the right.

- Release retaining clips - arrows - and remove Comfort System Central Control Module (J393) - item 1 - from electronic box.





- Disconnect electrical connectors - 2 to 6 -.

• Check the exact assignment for driver side electronics box in the current wiring diagram Wiring diagrams, Troubleshooting & Component locations.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Install the lower A-pillar trim.

- Install driver's seat..
