Tiptronic Switch F189 (through VIN 8E_6A156499), removing and installing - 01J, Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)
^ if malfunctions at Tiptronic Switch F189 occur, check first whether magnet at control slide masking panel is properly secured and replace masking panel if necessary. Before replacing the printed circuit, check the wiring.

Removing
- Remove cover for shift mechanism.





- Press down retaining hooks -arrows- and pull off cover -2- from guide -1-.

- Remove circuit board with integrated Tiptronic Switch F189.





- Check magnets -arrows- on cover strip for secure seating.

^ Cover strip must be replaced if a magnet is missing.

Installing
Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

- Install cover for shift mechanism.
