Rear Axle ABS Component Overview





1 - Rear brake caliper

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Caliper Assembly Overview, C38 ] Brake Caliper Assembly Overview, C38.

2 - Wheel hub

Removing and installing, refer to => Suspension Suspension

3 - Collar bolt

Vehicle must be resting on the ground when tightening.

Always replace.

For tightening specification, refer to => Suspension Suspension

4 - Brake rotor

Always replace both sides.

Remove the brake caliper prior to removing.

Thickness, refer to => [ Rear Brake Specifications ] Rear Brake Specifications.

Allocation, refer to => [ Rear Brake Specifications ] Rear Brake Specifications.

5 - Wheel bolt

Vehicle must be resting on the ground when tightening

Installing the wheels, refer to => Steering and Suspension Steering and Suspension

6 - Wheel bearing

Removing and installing, refer to => Suspension Suspension

7 - Wheel bearing housing

Removing and installing, refer to => Suspension Suspension

8 - Wheels speed sensor

Left and right sensors are identical.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Wheel Speed Sensor ] Rear Wheel Speed Sensor.

Before inserting into the wheel bearing housing, lubricate the circumference with lubricating paste (G 000 650)

Press into the wheel bearing housing onto the stop.

Release speed sensor connector and disconnect. Unclip speed sensor wiring.

9 - Hex head bolt

Tightening specification: 10 Nm.

10 - Drive axle

Check the rotor for contamination and damage.

If the rotor is damaged, replace the outer Constant Velocity (CV) joint.

The outer CV joint is delivered as a replacement part with rotor

11 - Ribbed bolt, 75 Nm

Always replace.
