Steering Column Switches






Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module

- If the control module was replaced, the select the control module in "Guided Functions"Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.

- Remove Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM). Refer to => [ Steering Column Switch Module ].

Removing





Steering must be in center position (wheels in straight ahead position) when removing and installing coil connector with slip ring.

- Carefully release catches - arrows -.

- Pull return spring with slip ring - 2 - with Steering Angle Sensor (G85) - item 1 - off from steering column switch module (SCSM).

- Remove screws - arrows -.





- Remove Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) - item 1 - from steering column switch module.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Make sure all fasteners and electrical connectors are properly engaged.
- Install Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM).

If Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) was replaced, it must be coded Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
