Removing

- If control module is replaced, select corresponding control module in "Guided Fault Finding".
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
- Remove the front ashtray insert - 1 -, press button - arrow - to do so.







- Unscrew bolt - arrow - and remove front ashtray housing.
- Disconnect connector.







- Pull off center console switch panel upward - arrows -.
- Unplug connectors.







- Remove bolt - arrow - and detach Access/Start Authorization Button E408 or Driver Identification Control Module J589 - item 1 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order.

Tightening torques

Access/Start Authorization Button E408 or Driver Identification Control Module J589 to switch trim: 0.8 Nm
Ashtray housing to center console: 2.5 Nm
