Parking Brake Control Module: Service and Repair






Electro-Mechanical Parking Brake Control Module

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1410)

Removing

- Remove right rear side trim in luggage compartment.

- Remove nuts - 1 -, tightening specification 10 Nm





- Remove EPB control module with plug connector - 2 -.

- Pull locking slide - a - in direction of arrow - b - and remove connector.

Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:

- If control module is replaced, select "Replace" function for respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding".

Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing And Information System (VAS 5051B) or (VAS 5052)
