Engine Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

- Switch off ignition.




Location: under the front cable duct on the water pump housing.




- Remove non-return valve on cylinders 1-6.




- Disconnect connector. Remove temperature sensor.

Tightening Torque = 13 Nm.

Installation Note: Replace seal.

- Check coolant level and top up with coolant if necessary.
- Interrogate fault memory of control unit on Digital Motor Electronics (DME), check fault messages in memory, rectify faults and cancel fault memory.
