Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

- Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit. Switch off ignition.




- Twist and remove connector (1).




- Unfasten hose clip and remove rubber gaiter (2) from throttle body.




- Loosen clamps (3 and 4).
- Remove air-mass sensor with bellows.




- Remove rubber gaiter from mass air flow sensor.




Installation Note: Only reinstall mass air flow sensor with undamaged lattice frame.

- Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit, check faults in memory, rectify faults and clear fault memory.
