Developed for high output engines, the A5S 560Z is suitably matched to the large displacement BMW V8 (M60 & M62) and V12 (M73) engines.

The A5S 560Z was also the first overlap shift transmission for BMW. All ZF transmissions since the the introduction of the A5S 560Z have been overlap shifting transmissions.

Since the introduction of the A5S 440Z the A5S 560Z is reserved for M73 engine applications only.
