Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Replacing pulse generator on crankshaft (M52TU)
Turn off ignition.
If installed:
Remove underbody protection (1 and 2).
The installation location for the pulse generator is below the starter.
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release screw (1).
Remove pulse generator.
Installation:
Check sealing ring and replace if necessary.
Installation:
Read out fault memory of DME control module, check stored fault messages, rectify faults, cancel fault memory.
