SUBJECT
IHKA Heating Output is Inadequate
MODEL
E85 (Z4) with IHKA
SITUATION
The customer may complain that the heating output is inadequate.
CAUSE
Internal control module fault
PROCEDURE
1. Identify that the vehicle is equipped with IHKA
2. Perform a short test on the complete vehicle.
3. If IHKS is identified in the short test rather than IHKA then the control module has an internal fault.
4. Replace the control module and code using CIP as per SI B09 05 01.
