Static Between Words on AM Radio

MODEL
E90 (3 Series) with SA 609 Navigation

E60, E61 (5 Series) with SA 609 Navigation

E63, E64 (6 Series)

SITUATION
The customer may complain when listening to AM radio, there is excessive static between the words on talk radio.

CAUSE
Software error in CCC (Car Communication Computer)

PROCEDURE

1. Update the complete vehicle per SI B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization, Programming) Procedure B, using CIP 19.1 (Target Data Status E060-05-09-530, E89x-05-09-530) or higher.
