TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
In cases where the Remote Control is not accepted into the Key Holder/CAS, or the ignition is on but the CAS (Car Access System) has no KL-15 (12 volt) signal to the OBD plug (Pin 1), it is not possible to use the DISPlus/GT1 for Diagnosis.

As a work-around, remove the left side kick panel in order to gain access to the back of the OBD plug.

The illustration shows the pin arrangement as viewed from the front of the connector. Install a jumper cable with insulated clips at the back of the connector. First connect the jumper to pin 1 and then to pin 16.

NOTE:
Pin 16 is KL-30 and is hot at all times. Care must be taken to avoid shorting this pin to other pins, or to ground.

With battery voltage now at pin 1, reconnect the DISPlus/GT1. Manually identify the vehicle and carry out a short test before proceeding with Diagnosis.
