Number One Cylinder







ARRANGEMENT OF CYLINDERS:

Cylinders 1 ... 4 are on the right-hand side of the car as seen looking forward from the drivers seat (beginning with cylinder no. 1 at the front end).
This is referred to as Bank 1.
Cylinders 1 > 4 front to back.


Cylinders 5 ... 8 are on the left-hand side of the car as seen looking forward from the drivers seat (beginning with cylinder no. 7 at the front end).
This is referred to as Bank 2.
Cylinders 5 > 8 front to back.


Air intake manifold, throttle valve necks and air cleaner with air flow sensor for a concerned bank of cylinders are, however, located on the opposite side in each case (crossflow).
