Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead 61 20 900 Disconnecting and Connecting Battery Negative Lead
- Remove operator unit for heater/air conditioner [1][2]61 31 052 Removing and Installing/Replacing Centre Console Switch Cluster (with CCC/ASK)
- Remove centre console switch cluster 61 31 054 Removing and Installing/Replacing Centre Console Control Panel (With CCC/ASK, CIC) (with CCC/ASK)





Note:
Comply with notes and instructions on handling optical waveguides 61 00 ... Notes on Handling Optical Fibers.





Release screws (1).
Pull back audio system controller (2) slightly.
Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.
Remove audio system controller (2).





Replacement:
Carry out programming/coding Programming and Relearning.
