61 35 196 Removing And Installing (replacing) Control Unit For Automatic Rear Lid Actuation







IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection).







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead
- Partially remove wheel arch panel on right







Remove equipment holder (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation:
Make sure equipment holder (1) is correctly seated.







Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.
Release equipment holder (2) and pull out control unit (3).







Replacement:
Carry out vehicle programming/coding.
