Trailer Hitch Control Module: Service and Repair

61 35 001 Removing And Installing (replacing) Trailer Module







IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection).







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove luggage compartment floor trim







Release plastic nuts (1).
Feed out equipment holder (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation:
Make sure equipment holder (2) is correctly seated.







Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unlock retaining lugs (2).
Pull trailer module (3) up and out.

Installation:
Ensure trailer module (3) is seated correctly.







Replacement:
Carry out vehicle programming/encoding.
