SUBJECT: ENGINE MOUNTING - BRACKET REWORK
MODELS AFFECTED: 1985 CENTURY & ELECTRA EQUIPPED WITH 3.0L V-6 (VIN CODE E) OR 3.8L V-6 (VIN CODE 3) ENGINES
If replacement of the engine mounting bracket (Part #25521356) is required on
the above vehicles it may be necessary to rework the service part by drilling two additional 7.33/7.22 mm holes in the bracket. These holes are necessary for mounting the catalytic converter air injection pipe and check valve and were not incorporated in some early replacement parts stock.
If drilling the holes is required use the old bracket as a template.
