MODELS AFFECTED: 1985-86 SKYHAWKS WITH THE 2.0L OHV L-4 ENGINE (VIN CODE P) AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Customer comments of detonation under light-to-medium throttle operation may be resolved with one of the following service PROMs. This calibration will service both 1985 and 1986 model years.

California P/N 16123000
The service manual (Section 6E on "Detonation/Spark Knock") should be referred to for other causes of detonation.
