Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

CONDENSER

Condenser Mounting:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Air cleaner and duct assembly.
2. Negative battery cable.
3. Recover refrigerant.
4. Radiator. Service and Repair
5. A/C lines at condenser.
6. Condenser.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Condenser.
2. New O-ring seals on hose and pipe fittings coated with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
3. A/C evaporator to condenser line.

TIGHTEN
^ Fitting to 27 Nm (20 lb. ft.).

4. A/C compressor to condenser line.

TIGHTEN
^ Fitting to 27 Nm (20 lb. ft.).

5. Radiator.
6. Evacuate, charge and leak test system.
7. Negative battery cable.
7. Air cleaner and duct assembly.

TIGHTEN
^ Bolts to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).
