Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Remove the rear compartment front trim panel. Refer to Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear.
3. Remove the 2 yaw rate sensor mounting nuts (1).
4. Remove the yaw rate sensor (2).
5. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector (3).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the yaw rate sensor electrical connector (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the yaw rate sensor (2). Tighten Tighten the 2 yaw rate sensor mounting nuts (1) to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
3. Install the rear compartment front trim panel. Refer to Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear.
4. Perform the ABS Diagnostic System Check. Refer to A Diagnostic System Check - ABS. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
