Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

A/C REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: The A/C pressure sensor is mounted on a Schrader-type valve. Recovering the refrigerant from the A/C system is not necessary to replace this sensor.




1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
2. Unscrew and remove the A/C pressure sensor.
3. Remove the O-ring seal.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Lubricate the new O-ring using 525 refrigerant oil.
2. Install the O-ring seal.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the sensor.

Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

4. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
