Positive Crankcase Ventilation: Service and Repair
CRANKCASE VENTILATION SYSTEM INSPECTIONRemoval Procedure
1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor (1).
4. Remove the MAP sensor (1).
5. Use a 16 mm socket to press the access cover (2) down and rotate 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
6. Remove the access cover.
7. Remove the PCV valve (3) and the O-ring (4) from the intake manifold.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the crankcase ventilation valve (3).
2. Reposition the access cover (2).
3. Use a 16 mm socket to press the access cover (2) down and rotate 1/4 turn clockwise.
4. Install the MAP sensor.
5. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the MAP sensor (1).
6. Install the fuel injector sight shield.
