Control System Changing the Remote Lock Verification Mode

Remote Activation Verification (RAV) Customization:

Two ways to change the remote lock verification mode:
^ Scan tool method. Refer to scan tool user's manual for more information.
^ Without a scan tool, describe next:

1. Close all vehicle doors.
2. Turn the ignition switch on.
3. Press and hold lock on either door lock switch.
4. While holding lock on the door lock switch, press and release lock on the keyless entry transmitter. The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equal to the current remote unlock verification mode.
5. To advance the mode: Press and release lock again on the keyless entry transmitter.
^ The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the remote lock verification mode. A transition past mode 4 repeats the sequence starting with mode 1.
^ To exit and save the current customization mode: Release the door lock switch when obtaining desired mode.
