Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the driver's door. When operated, the Express Down Feature allows the door window to drop very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

IMPORTANT
^ When removing a door trim panel or switch plate, the ignition switch must be in the OFF position. This will eliminate the possibility of shorting out the switch if a screwdriver, awl or metal object is used to remove the switch from the harness.
^ Use protective coating/tape at the point of insertion of the flat surface tool. Damage to the inner door panel may occur.

1. Insert a plastic flat-bladed tool at the rear edge of the power window and door lock switch bezel. Press the tool forward in order to release the switch bezel retainers.
2. Using a small flat-bladed tool, carefully release the switch bezel retainers and remove the power window switch from the bezel.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the power window switch.

4. Remove the switch from the door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the power window switch assembly to the bezel.

2. Connect the electrical connectors to the power window switch.
3. Align the bezel to the door trim panel opening and press into place to secure.
