Front Seat Armrest Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the front seat ashtray and housing. Refer to Front Seat Ashtray and Housing Replacement (Front Seat Ashtray and Housing Replacement).
2. Remove the lower and upper push-in retainers from the front seat armrest base cover, using side cutters.




3. Remove the front seat armrest base cover from the armrest.




4. Remove the rear bolts from the front seat armrest base.




5. Remove the front bolts from the front seat armrest base.




6. Remove the front seat armrest from the front seat cushion frame.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the armrest to the seat cushion frame.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.




2. Install the front seat armrest bolts (1) rear set to the armrest base.

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




3. Install the front seat armrest bolts (1) front set to the armrest base.

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Install the front seat armrest base cover to the armrest.




5. Install NEW lower and upper push-in retainers to the front seat armrest base cover, pressing into place until fully seated.
6. Install the front seat ashtray and housing. Refer to Front Seat Ashtray and Housing Replacement (Front Seat Ashtray and Housing Replacement).
