Discharge Air Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Ambient Light Sensor Replacement in Engine Electrical.
2. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
3. Remove the electrical connection at the temperature sensor.
4. Remove the temperature sensor; disconnect it from the aspirator duct.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Ensure the air temperature sensor is sealed to the instrument panel cluster trim plate in order prevent sampling the air behind the dash.




1. Install the temperature sensor to the aspirator duct.
Ensure that the duct is connected at the module.
2. Connect the electrical connector for the sensor.
3. Install the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
