Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor Replacement





REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the front seat carpet retainer.
3. Remove the center pillar lower trim.
4. Loosen the two inflatable restraint side impact sensor fasteners (2).
5. Remove the inflatable restraint side impact sensor (1) from the center pillar (3).
6. Lift the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) and remove the inflatable restraint side impact sensor yellow 2-way harness connector from the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the fasteners (2) to the inflatable restraint side impact sensor (1).
2. Connect the inflatable restraint side impact sensor yellow 2-way harness connector to the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.
3. Install the CPA to the inflatable restraint side impact sensor yellow 2-way connector.
4. Install the inflatable restraint side impact sensor (1) to the center pillar (3).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Use only hand tools to tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

5. Install the center pillar lower trim.
6. Install the front seat carpet retainer.
7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
