Electric Park Lock Module - Assemble

ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE

- Tools Required
- J 41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture
- J 41688 Steering Column Anti Rotation Pin





1. Install the electric park lock (2) into the lock module assembly (1).





NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Screw the Torx head screw (1) into the electric park lock 13)
- Tighten the Torx head screw to 1.5 Nm (13 inch lbs.).

3. Install the black connector (2) into the electric park lock (3).





4. Install the upper shroud (2) onto the steering column.
5. Screw the 2 Torx head screws (1) into the upper shroud (2).
- Tighten the 2 Torx head screws to 1.5 Nm (13 inch lbs.).





6. Install the lower shroud (2) onto the upper shroud.
7. Match the tab slots on the lower shroud (1) with the locking tabs on the upper shroud.
8. Tilt the lower shroud (1) up.
9. Slide the lower shroud (1) forward until the locking tabs snap into the tab slots.
10. Screw the 2 pan head tapping screws (1) into the lower shroud (2).
- Tighten the 2 pan head tapping screws to 3.5 Nm (31 inch lbs.).





11. Remove the steering column and J 41352 from the vise.
12. Remove J 41688 from the lower shroud.
13. Install the tilt lever into the lower shroud.
