Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement

Removal Procedure





Notice: refer to Paint Damage Notice.

1. Remove the front door frame applique. Refer to CELL LINK.
2. Remove the front door trim panel.
3. Remove the front door water deflector.
4. Remove the outside rear view mirror.
5. Remove the front door inner window belt sealing strip.
6. Position the window to the full down position.
7. Remove the front door window weatherstrip.
8. Remove the bolt (3) from the window channel retainer (2).
9. Drill out the 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (1) along the inside edge of the window channel retainer.
10. Remove the window channel retainer from the door.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the window channel retainer to the door.
2. Install the new 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (1) along the inside edge of the window channel retainer.
3. Install the bolt (3) to the window channel retainer (2).

Notice: refer to Fastener Notice.

Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the front door window weatherstrip.
Install the front door window weatherstrip by working it around the door frame. Ensure that the weatherstrip is fully seated into the window channel retainer.
5. Inspect the window for proper operation.
6. Install the front door frame applique. Refer to CELL LINK.
7. Install the front door inner window belt sealing strip.
8. Install the outside mirror.
9. Install the front door water deflector.
10. Install the front door trim panel.
