* Squeaks and rattles are caused by improperly controlled relative motion between vehicle components. There are three ways to prevent squeaks and rattles. To aid in diagnosing use J-35970 Chassis Ear.

1. Attach the component that squeaks or rattles securely.
2. Separate the components that squeak or rattle to prevent contact.
3. Insulate the components that squeak or rattle.
4. Insulate low uniform friction surfaces to eliminate stickslip motion.
