Cylinder Head Bolts

Use NEW bolts

Left Sequence:

Right Sequence:

M11 bolts
First pass 30 Nm (22 lb ft)
Second pass additional 150 degrees

M8 bolts
First pass 15 Nm (11 lb ft)
Second pass additional 75 degrees

Warpage less than 0.05 mm (0.002 in)

Camshaft bearing cap

Left (DI):

Right (DI):

First pass 10 Nm (89 lb in)
Loosen the center intake camshaft bearing cap bolts 1, 2 and the center exhaust camshaft bearing cap bolts 3, 4.
Retighten bolts 1, 2, 3, 4 10 Nm (89 lb in)

Actuator retaining bolts 58 Nm (43 lb ft)

Intake Manifold

Intake Tightening Sequence (LLT):

Intake Tightening Sequence (LF1 or LFW):

First pass 25 Nm (18 lb ft)
Second pass 25 Nm (18 lb ft)

Exhaust manifold

First Pass 10 Nm (7 lb ft)
Final Pass 20 Nm (15 lb ft)

Tighten the bolts starting at the center, alternating side-to-side, working outward.
