Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Ignition Control Module Bracket:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Be sure ignition switch is in OFF" or "LOCK" position.
2. Spark plug wire harness from ignition control module (2).
3. Electrical connector from ignition control module (2).
4. Ignition control module nuts (16).
5. Lift bracket to control module bolt/screw (46).
6. Ignition control module (2).


INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Ignition control module (2).
2. Lift bracket-to-control module bolt/screw (46).
Tighten
^ Lift bracket-to-control module bolt/screw (23) to 25 Nm (18 lb. ft.).
3. Ignition control module nuts (16).
Tighten
^ Ignition control module nuts (16) to 30 Nm (22 lb. ft.).
4. Electrical connector to ignition control module (2).
5. Spark plug wire harness to ignition control module (2).
