Torque Specifications

Use a reliable torque wrench to tighten the parts listed to make sure the parts are properly tightened without straining or distorting parts. These specifications are for clean and lightly-lubricated threads only; dry or dirty threads produce increased friction which prevents measurement of tightness.

Carrier Bearing Cap Bolt/Screw 75 Nm (55 lb ft)
Drive Pinion Gear Setting Gage Nut 2.3 Nm (20 lb in)
Pinion Gear Shaft Lock Bolt/Screw 5 Nm (27 lb ft)
Ring Gear Bolt/Screw 120 Nm (89 lb ft)
Rear Axle Housing:
Cover Bolt/Screw 30 Nm (22 lb ft)
Drain Plug 35 Nm (25 lb ft)
Sensor Plug Mounting Bolt/Screw 10 Nm (89 lb in)
Wheel:
Bolt 140 Nm (100 lb.ft.)
Speed Sensor Mounting Plug 10 Nm (89 lb in)
