Heater System

HEATER CORE

The heater core transfers heat from the engine coolant to the incoming air. The heater core is located in the lower section of the HVAC module near the front of dash.

HEATER HOSES

The heater hoses carry engine coolant from the engine to the heater core. The heater hoses are attached to the heater core at the front of dash and to the inlet and outlet pipes at the engine.

FLOW CONTROL VALVE

The flow control valve or "H" valve is used on the 2.4L applications to assist in heater warm up. The valve is attached to the heater hoses and located between the engine and heater core.

The pressure sensor is not repairable, if it fails, it must be replaced.
