Crossmember Bolt Replacement, Front

Front Crossmember Bolt Replacement: Removal Procedure:




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle and suitably support.
2. Remove the nut from the crossmember bolt to be replaced.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Open the hood.
5. Remove the battery heat shield, (if removing the right rear bolt only).

6. Drill out the crossmember bolt anti rotation device rivet.
7. Remove the bolt.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Check the new bolt against the old bolt for proper length.

1. Install the crossmember bolt.
2. Install the crossmember bolt anti rotation device rivet.

3. Raise the vehicle and suitably support.
4. Install the nut to the crossmember bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the crossmember bolt nut to 110 N.m (81 lb ft).

5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Install the battery heat shield (if removed to replace the right rear crossmember bolt).
