Caliper Bracket
WARNING: The bolts which attach caliper bracket to knuckle must be replaced anytime they become loose or are removed. In this application, tightening or loosening these special bolts which use an encapsulated thread compound, is not recommended. Failure to replace caliper bracket bolts after they have been loosened or removed may result in loosening of caliper to knuckle attachment, causing reduced vehicle braking ability, and may result in personal injury.Caliper Bracket Mounting Points To Knuckle:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Brake Caliper.
2. Caliper bracket bolts.
3. Caliper bracket.
Bolt Boots:
Removing Bolt Boots:
4. Bolt boots and bushings from bracket.
- Inspect bracket for cracks. Replace if necessary.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Lubricated new bolt boots and bushings with silicone grease.
2. Bolt boots and bushings into caliper bracket.
3. Caliper bracket with bracket bolts.
- Tighten caliper bracket bolts to 185 Nm (137 ft. lbs.).
4. Caliper.
