Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.




2. Remove the right engine splash shield to radiator mount push-in retainer.
3. Remove the left engine splash shield to radiator mount push-in retainer.




4. Remove the cooling fan assembly from the radiator by pushing up on the fan shroud to unsnap the retaining features. Position the cooling fan assembly away from the radiator and support the cooling fan assembly.




5. Remove the air dam push-in retainers.
6. Remove the air dam.




7. Support the radiator and condenser. Remove the lower radiator mounts, brackets, and bolts.




8. Lower the radiator and condenser to access the upper radiator air baffle. Remove the upper radiator air baffle.

Installation Procedure




1. Verify that the upper radiator mounts are installed in the vehicle.




2. Install the upper radiator air baffle.




3. Raise the radiator and condenser into position. Verify that the upper radiator mount pins align with the upper radiator mounts.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

4. Install the lower radiator mounts, brackets, and bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




5. Install the right engine splash shield to radiator mount push-in retainer.
6. Install the left engine splash shield to radiator mount push-in retainer.




7. Install the air dam and push-in retainers.




8. Align the cooling fan shroud retaining features to the radiator. Pull down on the cooling fan assembly to snap the fan shroud onto the radiator.
9. Lower the vehicle.
