Generator Replacement (RPO LSJ)

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove the supercharger.
3. Reposition the starter solenoid wire boot (3).
4. Remove the generator harness nut (2).
5. Remove the starter solenoid wire terminal (1) from the generator.
6. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (4) from the generator.




7. Remove the generator bolts.
8. Remove the generator.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the generator to the engine.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the generator bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




3. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (4) to the generator.
4. Install the starter solenoid wire terminal (1) to the generator.
5. Install the generator harness nut (2).

Tighten the nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

6. Position the starter solenoid wire boot (3).
7. Install the supercharger.
8. Connect negative battery cable.
