Notice: Use a hollow drift or wrap a short piece of tubing around the vent filter when tapping into the case. If the mesh of the vent is damaged during installation, it will no longer perform its venting function, and may cause transaxle fluid leaks at other locations.

Important: Do not install the differential bearing or seal retainer at this time.

1. Carefully tap in a new transaxle vent filter from the inside out.

2. Press in the input shaft bearing race using the 87 92 202. Use the 87 91 188 as a base for the pressing operation.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
