Ignition Lock Cylinder Case Replacement

IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER CASE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the lock cylinder.
3. Remove the switch mounting plate.






4. Remove the shear bolt from the ignition switch and lock housing assembly using a hammer and chisel.
5. Remove the ignition switch and lock housing assembly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE






1. Install the ignition switch and lock housing assembly.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the shear bolt into the ignition switch and lock housing assembly.
3. Install the switch mounting plate.
4. Install the lock cylinder.
5. The passlock sensor is part of the ignition switch. If replacing the switch, a relearn is needed. Reprogram the theft deterrent system. Refer to Control Module References. Programming and Relearning
6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
